Richard Scarry is one of the world’s best-loved children’s book author and illustrator of our time.

Born in Boston, Scarry started his career illustrating Little Golden Books such as bestselling titles I Am A Bunny and Rooster Struts.

Richard Scarry is most known for his large format Best Ever book series that takes place in a fictional town called Busytown, populated by a cast of anthropomorphised characters like Lowly Worm, Huckle Cat, Bananas Gorilla and many more.

With whimsical characters and silly vehicles, Scarry’s art illustrates the concept and importance of community in a safe, fun, and inclusive way.

More than 300 of Richard Scarry’s books have been published, and together they have sold over 160 million copies around the world and in over 35 languages.
